ST JOSEPH'S SCHOOL
Nau mai, Haere mai - Welcome to St Joseph's School in Feilding, NZ
Saint Joseph’s School is an inclusive, nurturing and growing Catholic integrated primary school catering for tamariki/children ranging from New Entrants to Year 8. We currently have a roll of around 130 akonga/students and have a decile rating of 6. We are located in central Feilding, with a bicultural and multicultural community.
Our school was established to serve the Roman Catholic Parish of Saint Brigid's by The Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart (Josephites/Brown Joeys) in 1906. The important aspects of school life centre around Jesus Christ.
We celebrate Liturgical events and important feast days within the year.
Establishing opportunities for our akonga/students to share in an encounter with Christ is a special feature of our school.
The Religious Education programme is an integral part of the curriculum.
Through daily prayer, weekly liturgies, scripture, class masses and the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church, gospel values are linked into our every day lives. This connection helps keep Christ alive and relevant to our tamariki of today.
